The Telephone Plans


The phone company is offering three plans for its customers to choose from for local calls :

Plan A : $12.95 per month plus 10 cents per local call

Plan B : $9.75 per month plus 18 cents per local call

Plan C : $21.50 per month with unlimited free local calls

  1. What is the cost of Plan A for 55 local calls?

  2. Write an equation for the Cost (C) of local phone service in a given month for Plan B in terms of the number (N) of local calls.

  3. At how many local calls does Plan B become more expensive than plan A?

  4. At how many local calls does Plan A become more expensive than plan C?

  5. Complete a single graph with all three plans represented.
