The Immigrants


Except for the Indians (native Americans) everyone immigrated to the United States. Some family's ancestor's came hundreds of years ago while some came very recently. Joe decided to do a study and asked the students in his class for information. This is what he found.

  1. What percentage of the students are from Spain? (round all answers to the nearest tenth of a percent)

  2. What percentage of the students are from non-English speaking countires?

  3. What percentage of the students are from countires that speak Portuguese or Spanish?

  4. Make a pie chart that represents the different languages spoken. Put the legends under the chart. Use colors or design to match legends to the segments of the pie chart.

  5. Use a bar graph to represent the different countries that the students are from.
