plus
29.00/month for each additional family member

Healthy Life

$65.00/month for the first family member
plus
21.00/month for each additional family member

  1. The formula for Fitness First should be Charges = 49 + Number of Family Members - 1 * 29 or C = 49 + (N - 1) * 29.
For 8 family members what is the cost?

  2. Write an equation that shows the total monthly charges (C) for a family with N members at Healthy Life.
For 6 family members what is the cost?

  3. Plot the graph for the Fitness First Club for 2 through 10 family members. Put the number of family members on the x axis and have the charges be on the Y axis. The labels on the X Axis should be 2, 3, 4 ... 10. The labels on the Y axis should be the cost for 2, 3, 4 ... 10.

  4. Plot the graph for the Helthy Life Club for 2 through 10 family members. Put the number of family members on the x axis and have the charges be on the Y axis. The labels on the X Axis should be 2, 3, 4 ... 10. The labels on the Y axis should be the cost for 2, 3, 4 ... 10.

  5. Put the two graphs together on one chart. Use different color pencil or ink for each.

  6. Using the chart figure out for how many family members will the cost be the same for the two clubs?
