Once it breaks through the soil, a stalk of corn grows 7/8 of an inch each day. An equation for the height of the corn, H, for a number of days, d, is given by the following equation:

H = d x 7/8.

a) How tall with the stalk of corn be in 28 days?

b) How many days will it take the stalk of corn to reach 6 ft. tall?
